I used this page to help teach my 12 year old twins how to set up a note-taking system for themselves in notion.

Basic Setup
What is the point? Here’s what you have so far:
- You have a place to store your notes from any class, as well as the various actions you need to take from any class.
- You have a way to sort and organize this information, but you cannot see that yet... it’s still just a bunch of tables that are hard to work with.
- You can see that classes, tasks, and notes are all related to each other
What are we going to do next?
- make it easier to work with these tables so that we have less information to enter, using filters and “Forcing Functions”
- Create some “templates” so that we can create new notes for a class without saying what class the notes are for
- Create some views into the task list to keep better track of what we need to do across ALL classes
Templates
- [ ] I need a way to add notes in a class (done), but these NOTES also need tasks. So that’s a “class note” template.
- [ ] Can the tasks in this class note template point to the class, not just to the parent note?
